We are approved 100%

Hi family:
We were approved for a new mortgage. Hopefully our house on Lambert will sell quickly, so we are not carrying the 2 mortgages. Of course we have to now come up with the 5% down payment, which we can do. We just won't eat. Hmmmm, maybe I'll lose some weight.

I picked Dad up at the airport and he talked all the way home. His plane was delayed by about 1/2 hour and then we stopped for supper. He says that "I will love the house". That's good enough for me. So he described everything for me. It does sound very nice.

So I plan to tell QDR on Friday or Monday, whenever I see the Executive Director. I will let you know when I have advised them. Then you can tell whomever you want that we are moving.

So this weekend, we plan to finish the sorting and cleaning in the basement and hopefully list our house on Monday or Tuesday, hence telling QDR cause a therapist may drive by and see that our house is for sale.

Here is a story for you - shows you how things can leak out. Dad was trying to call me at work on Monday and he kept dialing ext.215 which belongs to a physio. My extension is 205. So the people he stayed with in NS got a phone call from this physio wondering who they were. Fortunately the people were saavy enough to remember John telling them that I worked with physios and they clued in to say - oh yes, John Herring is visiting with us and was trying to reach his wife. My goodness - you just never know.

Our first blog - we are moving!

Well, I typed one blog and somehow lost it. So I will try this again.
I needed a change from the sorting and cleaning, so thought I would set this blog up and try to remember to use it to keep you all up to date.
I will take pictures of the changes we made in the rooms, with all the decluttering, and cleaning and John A. put in new sink and vanity. Then I will attempt to put the pictures on the blog.
So our closing date is January 31, 2007 - at least that is when the other family has to move. I suppose we don't have to be there to move in February 1. It will probably depend on how fast we sell this house.
I typed my letter of resignation so that it is ready for whenever. This time of the year is just not a good time for telling people this kind of news. So I would like to do it sooner rather than later.
Pray for Dad as he meets with the home inspector, the lawyer and faxes our paperwork to the bank for mortgage approval.
I pick Dad up at the airport on Tuesday evening. We will then spend the rest of the week madly trying to finish sorting "his" mess in the basement. I could do it much faster but am liable to pitch out some "important" paper. Heaven forbid.
We will also try to book plane tickets to go out west the first week of January. We are hoping to spend some Christmas days with John A. and family before going out west.
It will be a busy time for us during the next few weeks - actually busy for Natalee and Colin too as they pack up to move.
